DIALOGUE is what a character says.

MONOLOGUE
A prolonged speech by a single character.
DIALOGUE

A monologue delievered by a character who is alone.
ASIDE
A speech delivered which is only heard by the audience or by another character.
REPARTEE
A rapid exchange of witty remarks in which the speaker tries to “score” in a verbal fencing match.
